L'Oreal Signs Jessica Biel as New Spokesperson
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jan. 3, 2002--L'Oreal announces the signing of an exclusive worldwide contract with actress Jessica Biel as spokesperson for the company and its brands.
Her first L'Oreal commercial for L'Oreal Open haircolor will debut this month.

Next for Jessica Biel is the release of Lions Gate Films' ``The Rules of Attraction'' for director Roger Avary. Based on the novel by Bret Easton Ellis, the film is due for release in the spring of 2002. This past summer, she starred with Freddie Prinze, Jr. in the Warner Bros. romantic comedy ``Summer Catch.'' She is currently filming her final full season of ``7th Heaven,'' one of the highest-rated shows on the WB network.
Jessica made an impressive feature debut as the rebellious daughter in Victor Nunez's critically acclaimed film Ulee's Gold, with Peter Fonda. Selected as the Centerpiece Premiere for the '97 Sundance Film Festival and presented at Cannes, the movie opened to glowing reviews. She also starred in the Disney holiday film I'll Be Home For Christmas, with Jonathan Taylor Thomas.
Jessica initially pursued a career as a vocalist, performing in musical theatre. Starting at age nine, she starred in such productions as Annie, The Sound of Music, and Beauty and the Beast.
